Community Nutrition Educator

Currently Ana Lina is a Community Nutrition Educator for the Peer Nutrition Program of Toronto Public Health. She provides training to parents and caregivers of children six years old and under within ethno-racial / cultural communities about healthy eating. She facilitates group discussions on nutrition issues in Tagalog and English. She is involved in two workgroups, the Mental Health Workgroup and Curriculum and Policy Workgroup. She was a Clinical Dietitian at Philippine General Hospital. Ms. Arayon has a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition from the University of the Philippines and joined the Internationally Educated Dietitians Pre-registration Program (IDPP) at Ryerson University. She works with clients who are newcomers, have food security issues, and mental health issues which she refer to different services and agencies to improve the mental and emotional well-being of the clients.
